Refund Policy

Last Updated: October 14, 2026

At IdeaPlugins, we want every customer to understand clearly when and how refunds are available.

IdeaPlugins develops and sells ready-made, downloadable software products, including WordPress and WooCommerce plugins. Our products are standardized digital software products available for purchase by multiple customers. We do not offer custom software development, IT consulting, bespoke programming, or other professional services.

IdeaPlugins intends to use Paddle.com as its exclusive online reseller and Merchant of Record for paid transactions, subject to Paddle’s approval and activation of our merchant account. Once this arrangement is active, your purchase contract for transactions processed by Paddle will be with Paddle, and refunds for those transactions will be issued by Paddle to your original payment method. IdeaPlugins will not refund Paddle-processed payments directly.

Until Paddle payment processing is activated, no paid transactions will be processed through Paddle on IdeaPlugins.

For transactions processed by Paddle, this Refund Policy applies alongside Paddle’s Refund Policy and Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Where this policy provides additional refund rights or remedies, those rights will be administered in accordance with the applicable Paddle merchant agreement and mandatory consumer protection laws.

1. Digital Products

All premium plugins and related products sold through IdeaPlugins are ready-made digital software products. After a successful purchase, you may receive access to:

* Plugin downloads
* License keys
* Product updates, for the update period of your license
* Documentation
* Product help, where included with the license

All products are developed and distributed as pre-existing software. Product help is limited to assistance with installation, configuration, licensing, and troubleshooting of the purchased software. It does not include custom development, software modification services, IT consulting, or the development of new features on behalf of individual customers.

2. 30-Day Refund Period

You may request a refund within 30 days of the original purchase date. You do not need to give a specific reason, and a valid request made within this period will qualify for our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee, regardless of whether you have downloaded or activated the product, subject to reasonable verification and measures against fraud or refund abuse.

For purchases processed through Paddle, eligible refund requests will be handled through Paddle in accordance with our agreed refund arrangements.

If you live in the EU, EEA, Switzerland or UK, you may also have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of your purchase, subject to the applicable rules and exceptions for digital content, as described in Paddle’s Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. Our voluntary 30-day period applies in addition to applicable statutory rights and is intended to provide protection even if you have already downloaded or used the product.

Where applicable law gives you a longer withdrawal or refund period, or a different remedy, that law applies.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please do one of the following:

* For purchases processed by Paddle, visit https://paddle.net and request a refund using your order details, or use the support or transaction management link in your Paddle receipt email; or
* Contact IdeaPlugins at support@ideaplugins.com with your order number and purchase email address. For Paddle-processed purchases, we will assist you by forwarding the request to Paddle or directing you to the appropriate refund process.

Please include your order number, the email address used for the purchase and the product name.

If you have a technical problem with the product, you are welcome to contact us first, because we may be able to resolve it quickly. Contacting technical support before requesting a refund is optional and does not extend or shorten the 30-day refund period.

Customers are not required to accept troubleshooting assistance before exercising their valid refund rights.

4. Review and Processing

Refund requests for purchases processed through Paddle will be reviewed and processed by Paddle in accordance with its applicable refund procedures and the refund commitments associated with the purchased product.

Paddle may verify transaction details and investigate evidence of fraud, refund abuse or other manipulative behavior. Such reviews do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

For eligible requests submitted within the voluntary 30-day refund period, IdeaPlugins will honor its published money-back guarantee through the applicable Paddle refund process, subject to the agreed arrangements with Paddle.

If a refund is approved, Paddle will issue it to the original payment method where possible. Eligible refunds will be processed within the applicable legal and contractual timeframes. The time it takes for the amount to appear in your account may also depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

IdeaPlugins will cooperate with Paddle to ensure that legitimate refund requests are handled fairly and transparently.

5. Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, please contact Paddle or us as soon as possible.

After verification, the duplicate transaction will be refunded through the payment provider responsible for the original transaction.

6. Technical Issues After the Refund Period

If you find a verified, material defect in a purchased plugin after the 30-day period, please contact us at support@ideaplugins.com.

We will work to fix the defect in the existing software product, where reasonably possible and within the scope of the purchased license.

Product support is limited to the functionality of our existing ready-made plugins and does not include custom software development or individually commissioned programming services.

Refunds after the 30-day period are not generally offered, except where required by applicable law or otherwise approved through the applicable payment provider.

7. License Deactivation

When a full refund is issued, the associated commercial license may be deactivated and access to license-based product benefits may end.

This may include:

* Premium plugin downloads
* License-based updates
* License activation services
* Premium features requiring an active commercial license
* Product help included with the purchased license

Following a refund, the customer is no longer entitled to paid services or benefits associated with the refunded license.

Where a product includes software distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) or another applicable open-source license, nothing in this Refund Policy restricts rights granted under that license.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a problem with an order, please contact Paddle or us before starting a payment dispute or chargeback, so that we can try to resolve it faster.

For transactions processed through Paddle, chargebacks and payment disputes will be handled according to Paddle’s applicable policies and payment network requirements.

Chargebacks that are fraudulent or abusive, for example claiming non-delivery of a product that has been successfully delivered, may lead to temporary suspension of commercial license benefits while the payment dispute is investigated.

Nothing in this section limits your lawful right to dispute a payment with your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

9. Free Products

Free WordPress and WooCommerce plugins have no purchase price and are therefore not eligible for monetary refunds.

Free products may be distributed under their respective open-source software licenses.

10. Promotional Purchases

Products bought during promotions, special offers or bundles are covered by this Refund Policy unless the promotion expressly states different terms that are legally permitted and clearly disclosed before purchase.

Any promotional terms will not override mandatory consumer protection rights or the applicable payment provider’s requirements.

11. Subscriptions

Most IdeaPlugins products are sold as one-time purchases.

If a product is sold as a subscription through Paddle, you can cancel it at any time with effect from the end of your current billing period, using the Buyer portal link in your Paddle subscription email or at https://paddle.com.

Cancellation prevents future recurring charges but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for a completed billing period, except as provided by our 30-day refund guarantee, applicable Paddle policies, or mandatory consumer protection laws.

Subscription pricing, renewal frequency and cancellation terms will be clearly disclosed before purchase.

12. Business Customers and Sales Tax

For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and handles applicable transaction taxes in accordance with its legal and contractual obligations.

If you bought as a business and were charged sales tax (such as VAT or GST) and you are registered for that tax, you may be entitled to a tax refund.

For eligible Paddle-processed transactions, you must contact Paddle within 60 days of the transaction date and provide a valid tax number or tax exemption certificate, subject to applicable law and Paddle’s requirements.

See section 7 of Paddle’s Buyer Terms for additional details.

13. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or replaces any mandatory consumer rights, statutory guarantees or withdrawal rights that apply to you under the laws of your jurisdiction.

Where the law gives you rights that are more favorable than this policy, those rights apply.

Our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee is intended to supplement, rather than replace, applicable statutory consumer protections.

14. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will be revised when changes are made.

The version that applies to your purchase is the one in effect on your purchase date.

Changes to this policy will not retroactively reduce refund rights already granted to customers at the time of purchase.
